Razom for Ukraine

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022 our community came together for a special Morning Circle to talk about the crisis in Ukraine, share wishes for peace, and kick off our coin drive for the nonprofit, Razom for Ukraine. We then created a beautiful and collaborative mixed-media art installation. We wrote words and drew images of all our hopes for global unity, non-violence and peace, and then arranged them into the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Artists from eighth grade created a three-dimensional dove and wrote the Ukrainian proverb, “Love Will Find A Way” on a muslin cloth banner, and assembled the final canvas. This finished piece will become a permanent fixture in our hallway, reminding us everyday to strive for kindness and peace.

Our school community is collecting coins to donate to Razom for Ukraine. Students will have until March 28, 2022 to fill the jars with coins. All coins collected will be summed together and donated to Razom, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the people of Ukraine. Fun Fact: "Razom" means "Together" in Ukrainian!
