Alma Ponce de Leon
Alma was born in Peru and developed a passion for travel and cultural exploration, which led her to move to Mexico and then to the United States. She holds Technical Degree in Advertising and Graphic Design.
Upon arriving in the U.S., Alma began teaching Literacy, Art, and Spanish to elementary and middle school students. Her experiences growing up in Peru have given her a deep appreciation for the benefits of cultural exposure and the broadened perspectives it fosters. Alma has taught students of all ages, from toddlers to adults.
Her love for creative pursuits, including art and dance, influences her unique and engaging teaching style. In addition to her language instruction, Alma is a visual artist—working as a painter, dancer, and sculptor. She integrates her artistic skills into her teaching, using creativity and movement to enhance her students' connection with language and culture. Alma's classes are known for their fun and dynamic approach, incorporating educational games and interactive activities to make learning an enjoyable experience.
