Our K–2 students visited Dimond Park, where they partnered with the Sausal Creek Restoration Volunteers for a creek clean-up. Students in grades 3 and 5 spent the day with Abundant Blessings East Bay, where they packed supply kits for people experiencing homelessness. Our 6th and 7th graders worked with Planting Justice, contributing to urban farming projects that promote food sovereignty, sustainability, and food access. And our 8th grade students visited Homies FREEdom Farm, where they learned about healing-centered land stewardship and community empowerment through farming.
We are proud of our students for showing up with compassion, curiosity, and a willingness to serve. In doing so, they honored Dolores Huerta’s legacy, demonstrating that collective action, care for others, and a commitment to justice can create lasting change. Read all about their projects below!
