Family Teacher Community (FTC)

The Family Teacher Community (FTC) is the vibrant, welcoming, and dedicated volunteer arm of Northern Light School. The FTC is made up of parents, teachers, alumni, and caring community members who partner together in supporting the development of the Northern Light School, its students, its culture, its community, and its programming.

The FTC strives to complement the NLS curriculum through the creation and implementation of programming that expands opportunities and experiences. The FTC is committed to educate, empower, and enact a culture of positive activism and support for people in our communities and around the world.

FTC committees organize a variety of events and initiatives throughout the year, everything from community gatherings and fundraisers to staff appreciation and support for school programs. The FTC meets regularly during the school year, and all parents and guardians are encouraged to join. It’s a wonderful way to connect with other families, support our teachers, and strengthen the Northern Light community.
