At Morning Circle on Friday, September 25th, we focused on and celebrated peace in honor of International Peace Day, which took place the Saturday before.
Our entire community joined us as our incredible teachers worked with our little Peacemakers who prepared something special for the school - a Peace Dove sculpture that will eventually live in the Northern Light School main hallway!
Along with sharing peace drawings with each other, we watched videos made by students and alumni:
We read the book Peace is an Offering. And lastly took a moment to honor Justice Ginsburg and her incredible legacy.
The biggest take-away was that peace should be honored and practiced every day, not just on Peace Day.
