Open House

Northern Light School invites you to come and learn more about what makes our school such a unique and special place! Join us to learn more about our approach to Educating the Whole Child at Open House. Open House will take place on campus on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 pm. Faculty, parents, students, and alumni will be in attendance to answer all your burning questions, and help you learn about what makes Northern Light School such an extraordinary, empowering community.

Walk around and learn more about:
  • Head of School:  Meet our Head of School and learn about what makes a Northern Light School education unique and special.​

  • Preschool Program:  Meet our Preschool team and learn about the activities that aim to assist each child in acquiring independence, concentration, coordination, and self-confidence.

  • Kindergarten Program:  Meet our kindergarten teacher and learn about the ABC's of Kindergarten - Autonomy, Belonging, and Competency.

  • Lower School (Grades 1-5):  Meet our Lower School team and learn about how we foster inquisitiveness, independence, and an appreciation of learning, promote self-direction as well as cooperation and concern for others.

  • Middle School (Grades 6-8):  Meet our Upper School team and learn about how we create opportunities for students to assume greater responsibility for their learning.

  • High School Preparedness:  Meet our Founder and learn about high school preparedness and where our students journey off to after graduating.  Also, learn more about the annual 8th grade Retreat to Yellowstone and trip to Washington, D.C.

  • Enrichment Program:  Meet our Enrichment Teachers and learn about how we use art, technology, and music as tools to achieve an integrated, cross-disciplinary learning environment.

  • Extended Day Program:  Meet our Extended Day Program Manager and learn about our approach to increasing student achievement, engagement in school and physical fitness in the before/after school hours.

  • NLS Past & Present: Meet current and former students and parents as well as some members of the Family Teacher Community (FTC).

  • Spanish:  Meet our Spanish teacher and learn more about our approach to developing communication skills in Spanish.
